Hello all. I have created a storyline project with some video assets. The project renders and plays fine on my mac on Firefox but when running the project in my windows environment, the video slides do not show any video and the presentation freezes randomly. Any suggestions would be great.
Can you please share more information in terms of the video formats (mp4, swf, flv, etc.). Also, are you accessing the HTML5 version or the flash version of the course? If it's the HTML5 version, IE8 is not your friend.
One final thought...connection speed also can play a role. A slow connection may cause this type of behavior.
The conversion to MP4 is normal. If you click on one of the mp4 files, does it open and play? Also, I'd be interested to see what happens when you run it off of the web.
Yes when I click on the mp4 file it plays as expected. I just loaded it to my web server and it plays as expected as well. It seems the problem is only when running it locally (on my windows side). On the Mac side, it runs both locally and from my web server. I guess windows has some kind of a security or path issue when referencing the videos.
I just checked it when connected to the lms on a linux box running opera. It works there as well. Again, the culprit seems to be when running locally on a windows box via ie 8. Thanks everyone for the response and help.

I'm testing it locally so I don't think it's a connection speed issue.
I am running the Flash Version not the HTML version.
The Files that are imported via the insert video are all flv's (3 in total, all three are failing)
When I look at the output after publishing, it seems it created mp4's four it's source and did not keep the flv format.
Thanks again,
Garfield
