video error in storyline project

Dec 09, 2014

hi,

I am currently working on a new project in storyline which includes many screenrecords that were inserted as "step by step".

at some point, I saved my project and wanted to watch preview of the entire project, when I received a message error that shut down my project.

I re-enterd the program when suddenly I came accross anothe error message that deleted my movie clips from the timeline, and the movie slides shows a gray screen. but, the clips still appear as "in use" in the video menue.

please, this is the 3rd time that this has happend to me and I would very much appriciate the assistance on trying to understand why this keeps happening.

Thank you,

Sarah

Hi Sarah!

When creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Storyline courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources. See this article for more information.
