Hi,
I am going through the tutorials for Storyline and I wanted to convert a 2-slide PP presentation where I have 1 static slide and 1 slide with a video on it into a Try Story. There is no audio to the video. But, when I click on the dropdown arrow for the Record button in Storyline, I get a message that I have no video. Could you please tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi Bob. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
You might want to take a look a this tutorial, if you haven't already, just to confirm you're taking the right steps for importing the PowerPoint slides.
Also, what type of video is it that's located on the slide?
Hi,
I did the step-by-step, all the way up to Publish, and now, when I click on the slide that has the video, then click on the dropdown arrow under the record button, the windows opens and says that the file has no screen recordings.
Hello Bob, in the tutoraial, the video in the PowerPoint has been imported into the PowerPoint via Articulate. I'm thinking that your PowerPoint has an embedded video... that is, it's a video that was imported directly into PowerPoint without using Artculate.
If this is the case, then you'll need to extract the video from the original PowerPoint, and then insert it into Storyline.
To extract a video embedded into to PowerPoint, do this:
I hope that helps!
That is just what I was thinking (before I got dragged into a meeting). I will try that tomorrow and let you know how it goes. BTW, this is the most responsive message board I have ever been on. Nice! Thanks a lot for your patience and help.
Hi,
The process worked up to the point where I went to Insert and clicked on the arrow under the Record button. Still getting a "your project has no screen recordings" message.
I will start from scratch. Thanks.
