Hi guys, I'm new to this forum. I've got an SL2 file with an swf video in it. I'm trying to use the "when media completes" event as a trigger, but SL2 treats the video as if it were 1 second long when it's actually 2 minutes long.
Hi Allan! Additional questions: How are you publishing/viewing this content? What browser are you utilizing? Would you be able to share your .story file for us to take a look?
right now I'm just trying to preview and debug. I haven't tried publishing yet. When I do, it will be for web delivery. Is it like JavaScript where it won't work properly until it is running off a server in a browser?
I would expect that to work during preview. You are working locally, correct? If you'd like me to take a look, please feel free.
Although most content displays during preview just like it would in the published output, there are a few items that are unavailable during preview. They are:
Videos from websites, such as Screenr, YouTube, and Vimeo
Web objects
Interactions imported from Articulate Engage
Print results
JavaScript triggers
Hyperlinks may not work during preview. We recommend publishing to test hyperlinks.
Thanks for the offer Leslie, unfortunately, nothing that I can share. I'm going to try to change some of the output options for my video in Captivate to see if that will fix the issue.

Hi Allan, Is the video coming from a website or did you add the video to the slide itself?
Cheers, Julie
I added the video myself. It's an swf that I created in Captivate.
Hi Allen!
If you added the swf file in as an interactive video, this is independent of the timeline as you can read about here.
Is there another trigger that you can utilize?
It is not interactive and I did add it as a video, but it still doesn't recognize the length of the video.

Ok Allan. Good luck in your testing and I hope that you'll pop in here with an update.
Please keep in mind that you could share privately with our support team as well and an NDA could be signed if needed.
Interesting...and good to know. Thanks!
No problem Allan :)
