Video not playing when hosted on web

Having an issue when publishing course which have screen recordings / videos.

When running locally they work fine. After uploading the course via an external hosting company I simply get a blank white screen.

I found an article in the forum about adding MP4 and FLV to the MIME Map. Have sent this to the hosting company for them to look into but was wondering if there was anything else or anyone has had similar issues and how they resolved it?

Hi Kane,

Sounds like you're on the right track :)

In the meantime, you may want to test your course on another server and see if it plays properly. 

You're welcome to try using Tempshare, just keep in mind that content uploaded to that server will automatically be removed after 10 days. 

You can also try testing the course in SCORM Cloud

Another option would be to try Articulate Online. There's a free trial available, and you should have plenty of time to test the course and see if it plays properly. 

Hopefully you'll hear back from your current server soon, but I thought these options might get help you confirm whether or not the issue lies with the MIME types.
