Video not showing in new browser window

Hello community,

I Inserted a video and published and it looks fine when I have it show in a slide.

However, when I change to show in new browser window, it doesn't show. A browser window opens, but the window is blank. I've tried it in IE8 and Chrome. Same issues.

Any ideas?

EDIT: This problem occurred after publishing to and viewing the project from my hard drive. Once I uploaded the published files to our alpha testing server, the video does launch in a new browser window. Not sure if this is a bug or a "feature" .

Thanks for the update! Actually, this is due to some restrictions with browsers, etc. when viewing local content.

Here's some more information on this:

If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:

Hi, I understand the question and answer. Is there a way, or are there general instructions to change the settings so it is displayed locally as well? Just for testing?
