I am having a very frustrating issue with adding video to the timeline in storyline. If I add a video, it will play if it's at the beginning of the timeline, however if I move it further down, again it still plays at the start of the timeline, not where I have relocated it to. How do I fix this?

Hi Dibah,
You can change the video play settings by going to the Ribbon > Video Tools > Play Video.
There are 3 options available under this option:
Automatically
When Clicked
When Triggered
Simply choose the option "When Clicked" or "When Triggered" so the video won't play automatically at the start of the timeline.
You also have the option to show the seekbar for the added video.
Go to Show Video Controls option and choose Below Video.
