Video playback on iPad Storyline app
Oct 01, 2012
I have published and downloaded a file through the Storyline app to run on the iPad that has quite a few video clips in. When viewed the video comes in from the left hand corner, instead of just being straight in front of you (works fine when you publish it to Web). I have applied a trigger to start the video when the timeline starts.
First question, how do I stop the video from doing this?
I made an alternative version whereby the user had to press a play button for the video to start. The only problem with that is on the timeline various text boxes are animated to come in when the video talks about them. So if the user spends 5 seconds deciding to press the play button the animations come in 5 seconds too early.
Second question, is there anyway to control the timeline to start when the video play button is pressed?
All ideas very welcome
Thanks
Jayne

Good Morning, Jayne.
In order to troubleshoot your video, I think we'll need to have a copy of your .story file. Would you mind submitting a Support Case and including a copy of your file? On page 2 of the submission form, you can also record a screencast of the problem if you think that will help to illustrate the problem. Thanks!
Thanks Justin, I have just sent through the first section which contains 3 videos. Jayne
Thanks for submitting your case, Jayne.
I see that Jayem has taken ownership of your case, and I will certainly keep an eye on it as well. Thanks again!
What was the resolution here? I see a crossfade as well on my videos playing on an iPad when first loaded. Thanks.
Good Morning, Jeff.
In Jayne's case, try as we might, we were unable to reproduce the reported behavior. Would you mind submitting a Support Case and including a copy of your file so that we can take a look with you? Thanks!
