Video Player Seek Bar doesn't work with multiple video layer slides
Apr 26, 2018
Hi All,
I am having a bit of a meltdown and was hoping someone could help with some idiot proof instructions/trouble shooting.
I have built a consequential point of view learning experience. At the beginning of the scenario, the learner chooses an avatar that will represent them. If the avatar is male, then the videos will play in a male's voice, if female, the female videos play instead.
All of the videos are working as they should in terms of triggers and interactions, but the seek bar and play/pause buttons do not work on the double layered slides (they work fine on the single layer single video slides).
The other issue I have is that the seek bar skips to the next slide if the user skips from about two thirds along.
I have a deadline of COP tomorrow, so all help is greatly received.
Many thanks
Nic

Can you upload your .story file so we can play with it?
My absolute idiot-proof method is to use only the slide and layer timelines. When a video starts, I start a new slide. The viewer doesn't know or care that they have changed slides, but I sure do. Without a player timeline, the video is tied to the same timeline as the slide, and it doesn't have the same problems you are describing.
Hi Trevor,
That would be fabulous...How do I upload to you?
I am inclined to agree, but unfortunately my client has demanded the seeker bar. It's a little heart breaking as everything was functioning perfectly previously using just the timelines and custom play/pause buttons.
When the slide timeline starts when the video starts and ends when the video ends, the slide seekbar IS the video seekbar.
Just visit this forum using a browser, not a phone, and click on the ADD ATTACHMENT button to upload your .story file.
