Video playing Issue in Ipad

May 09, 2012

I have tried mp4, flv, avi, mov video formats in Articulate Storyline and publish it for Ipad, video not working in Ipad.

Please let me know any one which format do I need to use for Ipad, or How I resolve video playing issue.

Thanks

Sagar

Thanks for the link I will check it out.

I prefer Adobe Media Encoder, I can fully customize every parameter of the file including codec, stream rate, audio etc.

Currently my settings are MP4, H.264 codec (for both iOS and Android compatibility) Mono audio, AAC audio at 128Kbps - The video has been set to both progressive and VBR with constrained rates of 300-500kbps. Direct it plays beautifully, embedded it does not play at all, just a black frame where the video should be so there is an issue somewhere in either the publish for web or the MIME settings in my browser which seems ok though. That is my 2nd train of thought and focus now.

Hi Paul,

MIME types are typically something within the server, not browser, at least when I've seen it within Articulate content. Have you tried hosting the content in another environment to confirm? You could look at using Tempshare.articulate.com - it'll generate a URL that can't be guessed, and stays live for 10 days. So easy for testing and ensuring no one else would get your proprietary content.
