I am curious, does anyone have a challenge with videos fading in when the slide starts? I have the video set to automatically start with the start of the timeline. I would like to take that fade off, but I am not sure if I can do that. It doesn't do that outside of Storyline. This isn't a show stopper, probably just annoying to me. :)
I have a project that has a video that starts with the beginning of the timeline on every slide, and the only ones that start with a fade are those that I have customized with an animation, or that were edited to have their own fade. If your videos don't have either of those, it's not something that SL just adds. If you could attach a sample here, maybe someone in the community could take a look at it.

It's possible your slide has a Fade In Transition effect applied.
Select the video slide and click the Transitions tab. If there's a transition, click None to disable the effect.
