I would probably just have the six buttons on the base layer. And then add six layers that each has a video on. Then the button would link to the relevant layer.
If you ensure that the objects on the base layer are not hidden, and the video does not obscure any of the six buttons, then the user could click a button, see that video, then click the next button to go to the next video- without having to close each layer and return to the base (if that makes sense?).
