I embed a video with the embed code and when i publish it the video is too big. it's bigger than the module and spilling out of the player. Why isn't it resizing the video correctly to fit inside the elearning player?
Can you share where you're pulling the video code from (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.)?
It's possible that the video code is pushing it outside the player. Can you also share a little bit about the video dimensions that you're adding into your code?
Anything ever happen with this issue? I'm having the same thing occur. I've got a 140 meg storyline file, and everytime I try to save it, I get one error message or another - including "parentcontainerclosed."
Do you have the latest update to Storyline 2? We had some save issues previously and an update corrected this, so I would advise that you try that first.
Just let us know if you need any further assistance.
I am having the same issue. I have closed all other running programs. and running SL2 7.1509:1408. Error when trying to save :Parentcontainer closed. Has there been a fix for this? Running windows 7 enterprise, 64bit with 15GB of space available.
I went to look at the case Cindy submitted - and although our team did not hear back from her in regards to if this fixed the issue - here are the steps she was instructed to go through:
Can you try using Storyline's Save As feature to save a new copy of the story in a different location?
If it still fails, I'll need you to delete the Articulate temporary files from your computer. Please do the following:
1. Close all Articulate programs. 2. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run. 3. Copy and paste the following line of text into the Run dialog box, and click the OK button: %temp% 4. In the window that appears, delete the Articulate folder.
Then verify if you're able to save your story.
If the issue persists, please try to create a new Storyline project file, and manually copy and paste each slides into the new story.
Be sure you're working from your local hard drive (typically your C: drive) when creating, editing, or publishing a Storyline project. Working from a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes you've made to your project, and loss of resources.
Can you test out those steps and let us know how they work for you? If you're still having difficulty after reviewing and implementing them, please reach out to our Support team here so that we can take a better look at your files and the behavior.
Thanks Doreen and if you run into the issue again, please feel free to connect directly with our Support team using the link above and we can take a look.
This forum discussion is a bit older, so I'd first want to confirm that you were still working with the latest update of Storyline 2 Update 11. Also did you already look at the items asked above of Doreen to confirm that you are working on local project files and removing the Temp files that are associated with Storyline?
Any additional information you could share about running into this issue will assist us with troubleshooting.

Here's the code:
<!-- copy and paste. Modify height and width if desired. --><iframe class="tscplayer_inline embeddedObject" name="tsc_player" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" type="text/html" style="overflow:hidden;" src="http://www.screencast.com/users/cindy244528/folders/Camtasia Studio/media/b5c6e642-f26b-4409-8e7f-ef67bcd82395/embed" height="480" width="720" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
Thanks!
Mike, any insight on why this isn't working?
Hi Cindy,
I've been testing it and the code seems to work quite well on this end.
Can you view this link to see if it's working for you?

This is what it looks like in my browser. I'm using firefox and i'm publishing to articulate online.
This is what I see in Chrome and IE. Looks like Firefox is having issues with displaying the iframe inside the browser.
thanks i will try to figure it out.
One more question. I can't save my course to my desktop i got an error that says the project cannot be saved, parent container closed.
it also says cannot access a disposed object.
Hi Cindy,
I can't find anything related to those errors. Could you please submit a support case so our team can take a look? http://www.articulate.com/support/contact/
Thanks!
