Not sure what I've done but the slides in the left-hand panel have reduced to microscopic size. How do we change the settings so that we can zoom up or down in this view?
Does your mouse have a scroll wheel on it? If so, when you attempt to zoom in or out, are you clicking in the thumbnail area first? (Try clicking in the gray space surrounding the thumbnails, rather than on a specific slide's thumbnail, and than do the Ctrl+mousewheel)
Yes, the mouse does have a wheel, but it enlarges the whole screen when I do as you suggest. Somehow, by trial and error I got it back to the normal size by removing the right hand side panel on a new project, then replacing it by pulling the side panel back again and the left hand panel sprung back to normal size. It seemed like a bit of luck rather than a genuine solution. A zoom on the left hand panel alone would be on my wish list for the next version. If I get the problem again, I'll let you know It must be something to do with the relative sizing of all the panels in Normal view ...
Thanks for attending to my query so far and promptly too.
I'm glad you're all set now, Rod - thanks for letting me know! And yes, a dedicated zoom controller n the thumbnail pane would be a great feature request - I just submitted that on your behalf. Thanks again!
I'm having this same issue. I can click in the gray space and adjust the size, but as soon as I preview any slide or scene, they go back to being tiny. I don't know what made it happen to begin with, so how do I get a more 'long-lasting' solution?
This thread is a bit dated, but sorry that you've run into a similar issue and I'd love to help you out here.
Do you have a .story file that I could take a look at? Sometimes your branching, etc can cause this to happen as well. That may explain why it seems to 'revert'.
I'm unable to post the file (security reasons). However, I do have a slide that branches to 5 slides and comes back again. I can see where that could cause troubles. I just thought there might be a setting where I can tell the thumbnails not to shrink! If there is no setting, then I'll just deal with it :-)
Yep, that's exactly it. So if I understand correctly, because of the branching, there's no way I can make those thumbnails larger and have them stay large. I just need to manually adjust when it happens. Hopefully, I'll be finished with that scene soon :-)

Hi Rod! Sounds like your zoom setting just got changed accidentally. Here's how to change it back:
Thanks Jeanette, but it doesn't seem to work on a Mac running Parallels. Any other ideas?

How about Ctrl + a two-finger up-and-down gesture on the trackpad?
I don't have a trackpad - I'm using an iMac ...

Hi Leslie,

Hi Janet,
Yes, that sounds like you may be seeing the right thumbnails then.
Hard to confirm without seeing it, but I'm imagining you are expecting something like this:

Yep, that's exactly it. So if I understand correctly, because of the branching, there's no way I can make those thumbnails larger and have them stay large. I just need to manually adjust when it happens. Hopefully, I'll be finished with that scene soon :-)
That's correct Janet. I find it easier to just pop back in StoryView when I have views like this ;)
