Visibility of slides on the sidebar

Hi all,

I have a series of 10 slides that I want only the first one to show up on the sidebar menu on the final published project. Is there a way to do this? I have other slides both before and after these 10 slides that I want to remain intact.

Also, is there a way to merge content from other slides so that they become different layers (or maybe even same layer) on the same slide?
