Visited Slide State (AS360)

Apr 26, 2017

Hello Heroes,

How can I design my own skin, and have the "next button" locked until the time line ends, and then, when the user goes back to that slide, the "next button" is already open because he was already there.

Exist something like "visited state" for the slides to provide this behavior?

I'm doing it with variables, and it works, but I can't find a better way.

Any ideas about the easy way to solve thit?

Thanks in advance!

Hello Alyssa,

Thanks for the tips.

I was able to recreate that behavior, using the Restricted Navigation settings. But when I draw my own buttons and hide the default from articulate, They didn't act as I wanted.

My solution was to create a few variables, but in my course with 100 slides, I have 100 variables and when a duplicate a slide or make a big change, I have to switch some of them. I was looking for a best solution.

Thanks again and if you know a shortcut share it please.

Ah, I see! Check out the sample file I put together for you. Here's how I built it (no variables needed!):

  1. Remove the default Prev and Next buttons from each slide.
  2. Add custom Prev and Next buttons to slide.
  3. Add triggers to jump to the next slide/previous slide when the buttons are clicked.
  4. Make the initial state of the Next button Disabled.
  5. Create a new trigger that changes the state of the Next button to Normal when the timeline of the slide ends.

I hope this helps!
