I have created a course with a menu page. Users click each button to view a scene. Once the button is clicked it has a green checkmark to show users that that section is done. I have ensured that the slide is set to "resume saved state". When I preview the course in storyline the visited state is always there but when the course is in our LMS the visited state disappears after a minute or two? Can anyone help with this?
you set triggers to change the state of the buttons to normal when the audio file ends. In my preview it works and they stay selected but the audio starts always from the beginning, so I think what storyline ignores in the preview (the changing state to normal triggers) doesn´t work in the LMS.
So you have to stop the audio from repeating (you created a trigger to repeat the audio as long as not all of the buttons are visited, that´s why it repeats every time the slide opens) or change the trigger which changes the state of the buttons to normal to for excample when timeline of the slide ends and not the audio or timeline reaches x seconds.
I hope this helps. :) You could even test it on Scorm Cloud a recommended testplatform from the articulate team.
Thanks so much for the help. My intent was for the second audio to repeat (reminding users to click another button) not the first so I think that changing the audio in the trigger should fix the problem. Could you please verify that this is correct?
if you detach the triggers which changes the states of the buttons to normal from any audio which you want to repeat or which is reapeating at any time it should work. :) I recommend testing it on an LMS or Scorm Cloud anyway, because sometimes (as you could see) it works fine in the preview of storyline but not on the LMS. :)
