Can anyone help here? I have created a slide that has 5 hotspots on. I would like to prevent the learner from being able to advance onto the next slide until they have visited each of the 5 hotspots?
I would normally use the change of state trigger but hotspots don't have states?
I am trying to wonder what the benefit of having a hotspot is?
hotspots cannot have states.
We can just make transparent shapes with no outlines. Shapes can have states also. We can then add triggers just like a hotspot would, plus with the nice feature of rollover states.
This method alone is already a better function than hotspot alone.
Am I missing something that a hotspot is suppose to do?
Hi Yan! User preference, and Ashley's suggestion was based on the assumption that the user may NOT want to change from the setup he already had, which included hotspots.
The transparent shapes is what Meryem suggested as well. If it works well for you, then great!

Instead of hotspots, try using transparent shapes with no outline. Then you can have a visited state on the shapes.
Hi Mark,
If you don't want to change from hotspots to shapes - you may want to review this method for how to disable the next button until a user has interacted with all the hotspots.
Thank you Ashley and Meryem, both answers work well for me.
