Hello community!
Is there any way to normalize the volume throughout the entire .story file?
At first I thought all my audio was too loud... so I manually went in and adjusted the volume with the editor provided by storyline. Now, I need all the volume to go back UP.... is there an easier way to do this?
Also, can someone point me in the direction of knowing and understanding how loud the audio should be? How can I acheive this every time? .... Preferably not using any other application... I just want to be able to record and input into storyline.
Thanks for an guidance,
Kara

Hmm, 5 years and no replies. Not making me to confident that I am going to find an answer to my question. Some of my slides are really loud and others are to soft, not sure how to get them all about in the middle somewhere. Any suggestions out there?
Lisa,
I had the same problem for several years. We typically use 2 narrators, so this compounded the problem.
I finally solved the problem when I found a program used by the broadcasting industry called Auphonic Leveler I run my audio files through this software before I insert into my SL courses. I now get consistent volume levels not only within my scenes, but across ALL of my output.
It is one of my most important tools in eLearning development.

PS. There are other similar programs, but I found this one to be the most affordable and simplest to use.
There is an "Optimize Audio Volume" option in the publish quality settings dialog, as described here under Step 4.
You are a lifesaver Michael, that works great!! It's not perfect but it is so much better and just takes one click of the mouse! Yay!
