Volume Control on Player Doesn't Adjust Sound in Video

Jul 18, 2018

Since installing SL360 build 17 I've lost the ability to control audio contained in videos using the volume slider in the player. This problem doesn't seem to affect audio files added directly to the timeline.

Has anyone else noticed this behaviour?

SL360, volume slider in the default player (classic and modern), doesn't affect the volume of imported video on SL timeline.

However, there's another bug in the player. If you lower the volume while the video is playing then Pause the video using Play/Pause button on the default player, and then play it again, the video volume goes down. Same thing happens if you make the volume higher.

Guys, please fix this problem. It's affecting us badly.

And yes, it's not working on Build 17. And on one machine we've Build 13, and it's working fine.

I posted this a few days ago.... its affected on the initial setting. Doesn't apply to the current slide, but all other slides with video will retain the last setting. Same thing going forward or back in the slide deck.

Similar behavior to what Hassaan notes. Sounds like the pause and replay sets the control just like going to the next or previous slide.

Yea, our clients are not happy with all the update errors. We keep telling them they should get fixed soon.

Hi there! The day Leslie alluded to is here: Update 20 for Storyline 360 is now live–check out all the improvements here! 🛠

We now have a fix for the issue where videos wouldn't loop when designed to do so, and the volume slider stopped working.

Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to experience everything the latest release has to offer. Let us know what you think!
