Volume too low in uploaded audio files

May 05, 2014

Hello Christine,

My apologies for troubling you again. I am still working on an audio issue (the volume is too low) in my Articulate project and discovered that when the original stereo audio file was converted to a mono file the volume issue resolved itself.

I was wondering if there was a setting in Articulate that could be adjusted so that all of the stereo audio files currently loaded in my Articulate Project could be automatically converted to mono files? This is with the hope of not having to re upload all of the audio (and re-sync it with the animations).

Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Kelly

Hi Kelly,

No, unfortunately, you won't be able to do this. I know that it's not the answer you were hoping to hear, and I apologize for that. However, if you modify the audio file outside of the project, it has to be reinserted. This is because the file is contained within the project after it's been inserted. It won't link to a directory where you can simply change the file name, or swap out the original.

I am happy to hear that modifying the files has helped with the original issue, and I wish I could make it quicker to replace the original files, but I'm afraid you'll have to insert the converted versions again in order to use the updated audio files.

Again, I know this isn't the answer you were after, but I hope the information helps.

Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Best,

Christine
