Hello, I'm having an issue with some slide not displaying text, and/or missing audio files when my client posts to their LMS (I'm waiting to hear what LMS they have). The published files play perfectly on SCORM cloud and on my LMS however and on a variety of browsers and devices.
Do you have any suggestions as to what could be causing this? I suspect you're going to ask to see my .story file, but the information is proprietary and can't be published to a public site. Is there a way I can share in a less public fashion?
It looks like Matthew got you covered with the link and our support engineers are around 24/7 so they'll be happy to help. As far as what is happening, it sounds like you tested in SCORM Cloud and another LMS and it still worked fine - so we'd definitely want to know more about which LMS and browser your clients are using. You could share with them the system requirements here. When we've heard of similar issues before, it's often been the browser that the individual was accessing it through - so you'll want to ensure they're using one of the supported browsers for how the content was published and look to updating things like the Flash player.
Hi Ashley, The LMS the client is using is Moodle/ELIS 2.7.x. The issues we encountered were that text blocks were completely missing from some slides in one module, and in another module audio was missing on some slides.
I published it as a SCORM 1.2. What else can I tell you that would help troubleshoot this issue? Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
Do you know what different browsers you were using to view it? If you're unsure or your users are unsure how to tell you, I like to use a site such as supportdetails.com which pulls all that information automatically. Are you able to test uploading it to the SCORM Cloud as I mentioned?
Hi Ashley, I've tested the Moodle/ELIS 2.7.x. version on both a Mac and PC and have used Chrome, IE, Safari, and Firefox. It doesn't work on any of them. The published files play perfectly on SCORM cloud and on my LMS however and on a variety of browsers and devices. Any ideas?
If SCORM Cloud and your LMS work fine, it's gotta be something within their LMS set up. I'm certainly not an LMS expert - so hopefully others in the community can weigh in.
Have you tried different SCORM publishing options? Perhaps that LMS only allows SCORM 2004 for example and you've used SCORM 1.2?
