Web format production question

Aug 02, 2015

Hello,

I recently sent Storyline 2 files published to a web format to a client.  They want to host a few courses openly on their website and do not want to track users or feedback. They came back with the following questions. I am not sure of the answers? Does anyone in the community know how to answer these questions?

1. Can the platform be responsive without having to download a separate app? (Also it looks like the only app is for iPad. This means it may not work well on Android, Windows7, or iPhone.)
2. We would want HTML5 only as Flash which does not operate on iPads or iPhones. It looks like that is an option.

Any help would be great!

Many Thanks,

Jacqueline

Hi, publish your course using the web setting and make sure the html5 output option is selected but not the options  for the mobile apps. Your client should be able to embed the course in their website by using an iframe. All the published files should be uploaded on their web server and they should reference story.html to launch the course.

If they set it up this way it will use the flash version on any device that supports  flash and will use the html5 version on devices that do not have flash.

Storyline does have an android app as well as a iPad app but you don't need to use then to run your course on these devices.

hope this helps.
