I've inserted a web link, and it shows perfectly when I "test the link." However, when I publish the presentation, that slide is blank...the website doesn't come up. I'm publishing for an LMS and posting it in Blackboard. Is there a setting of some sort I am not seeing? Thanks for any help.
If you are using the flash output of your project the link that you have embedded will not work as they should, instead use HTML5 output and the links will work correctly. We are attaching the example output file for your reference.
I'm publishing the file to LMS, so I'm not actually choosing Flash or HTML. I guess I'm restricted from using the web link for Blackboard. Too bad... Thanks for the reply.
The link to a URL or file should work within the Flash output (the standard way all Storyline courses are published) even if you're hosting the course in an LMS. If the link isn't opening, I'd want to know more about if you're receiving an error message or blank window, what browser you're using, if you've set it to open in a new window, etc. Also, if you're thinking it may be an issue within Blackboard, you could confirm this by placing the published output for LMS inside SCORM Cloud, which is an industry standard testing method for SCORM Content. You could also publish the course for web and test it out at a web server.
