Web object border/margin

Jan 12, 2016

Hi! I'm using a web object on an Articulate Storyline slide, and would like for it to have the same size as the page it is placed on. A margin is though added inside the web object place holder, making it being shown slightly smaller than the page. How do I remove this margin when using av web object?

Thank you!

(I've searched the forum, and there seems to be a solution out there - discussed in this thread, amongst other places: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-presenter/web-object-border-and-scroll-bar-issues - but the links on how to actually do it appears broken.)

Hi Anna,

Thanks for reaching out here and sharing a link to that older thread. It does appear that the links are no longer active and I know Dave Moxon removed his blog and some posts, so that is likely what you're running into.

Editing the code is well outside my area of expertise and support ability, but you may want to reach out to a few users in that thread using the "contact me" button on their profile to see if they're able to assist.

Also, I'm not clear on if the border you're seeing is inside the slide or if you're referring to player elements, so I did want to share that there is information here in regards to how the player add extra width/height.

Hi Ashley,

Thanks! I've done a few tests, and it seems that the palyer is adding a border (also), just as specified in your link. Is there any way to get rid of that player border? The web object that I'm adding is another Storyline project, which doesn't scale any larger than the page it is embedded to (even though I make the placeholder bigger than that page it is placed on, the project which is embedded bigger than the one it is embedded into and both projects are set to scale to fit the browser size), so I do need to get rid of that player border for everything to align.
