Web Object Not Opening Once Published

Hello everyone, anyone
I'm having a problem getting my web object to open once I've published the Storyline presentation. I have it set to open when the user clicks the image (I changed the picture to represent what they will see on their desktop). I want it to open in a separate window.
In preview mode, I recieve the massage 'This link is not active while previewing,' which gives me the impression that the web object is properly inserted into the presentation. However, when I publish, and click the image nothing happens.
Can someone help me?

Hi Karel,
Are you testing the published content locally or within the intended environment? You'll want to test within the intended environment to ensure that all elements work as expected. If the web object still doesn't open, you may want to review the other potential items here associated with the hosting server.

First, can you tell me how you're viewing the published presentation, please? Are you viewing the published output files locally, or are you uploading to a web server or LMS?
If you're viewing your published files locally, this may be the problem. If you view a published Storyline presentation on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.
To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the article below for more information:

If you are uploading to a server and still don't see the web object functioning properly, please consider sharing your .story file here so we can take a look at what's happening.
