Web Object Trouble

Apr 17, 2013

I'm trying to use a web object on the final slide of my course to take users to a SurveyMonkey survey (we don't have an LMS so this is a work around for completion info). I'd love for the survey to just appear on the slide itself so my users don't have to go outside the course to do this.

I've inserted the web object, tested my link but after publishing (for web) the slide is completely blank. I'm wondering what I'm missing!

Also, since this is the final slide of the course I want them to be able to exit from here. Perhaps just a final submit button or exit button with an exit trigger would work?

Thanks so much for any advice. This is my first articulate course and I'm loving it! But also lots to learn.

Hey Sarah, welcome to the community!

For your first question, it sounds like you'll actually need to go ahead and get your course hosted after publishing. If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published
Tempshare is a great testing site, for example.
And here's how you can build an exit trigger.
Hope that helps
