I'm trying to publish a Storyline 360 file to web. The tutorial was published well to CD but when it comes to HTML/HTML5, it goes wrong: The course is running slow, it has kind of white "flashs" between the slides and the video isn't synced with the recorded mouse clicks.
only a SL2 user but did you test your output in your lms or only on your pc? It´s always recommended to test it online on the platform the user uses too. Which browser did you use? I think firefox is still not supported by articulate, only chrome and IE. Have you all neccesary updates? Maybe test in on scormcloud etc. to check if it´s your lms thats not working.
These are some questions you could check. Maybe it helps.
Hello Orit and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :) I second Susi's suggestion of checking if you are able to recreate the issue via SCORM Cloud. If so, we would certainly want to take a look at the .story file.
I published the file to Web, but the LMS published file also running slow. I tried to check the file via Scrom cloud as you suggested and the issues still exist.
I think the white flashes happen because it takes a lot of time to load every slide. Is it any way to compress the file or at least the recorded screen video?
The Quality field lets you control the compression settings Storyline uses for audio, video, and pictures in your course. The quality settings default to whatever you used the last time you published a course. To change them, click the blue text, make your adjustments, then click OK.
Choose Standard if you want to use the default settings: video quality of 5, audio bitrate of 48kbps, and image quality of 80%.
Choose Custom if you want to define your own quality settings, then drag the slider for any of the three values to change the compression. Using higher values gives you higher-quality output but also results in larger file sizes (which means longer download times). Lower values give you smaller file sizes and faster download times, but the visual and audio quality will be lower as well.
I opened the original file in SL2 and published it again and it works properly. Yet, Iv'e done many changes on the 360 so it doesn't really help. Is there any chance the problem was created while I converted the file from SL2 to 360? How can I convert a 360 file back to SL2 so I will can check this out?

Hi, Thanks for reply!

Hi Orit
when you publish you can change the settings

It didn't solve the problem.

Oh no, Orit! Your SL360 is not reverse compatible to SL2. Would you be able to share the .story file so that we could take a look?
