We have some ginormous courses that take forever to download on iPad. Is there a method of streaming Storyline HTML5 so it starts playing afrer the first slides are downloaded? Thanks.
Storyline does not load the entire course before displaying, I dont know how many slides ahead it reads. There is a fancy preloader built into Storyline

+1. Plus everything native preloads now and its been tuned to be better than Presenter.
Believe not, though setting quality and custom optimization at publishing time could have an effect on the size of the video file produced and, as a result, how much is needed to download.
Thanks. I'm sure that's true, Gerry, but our projects will be downloading for 30 minutes or more without displaying the first slide. The files total about 115MB.
It could be a filesize issue, I dont know how the html5 iOS content works, but I expect it needs to download more of the course compared to the flash content. Have you tried loading the html5 version in safari/chrome to see how long that takes.
Just out of interest are you suing the ipad2 or "ipad3"
We only use HTML5 because we need SCORM. We have tested on iPad 2, but will test on iPad3. In Chrome and Safari on PC, it works fine. Safari is the problem on iPad.
I am clutching at straws it could be the nature of the ipad. I would restart the ipad to make sure all apps are closed. Then try it. We did notice some difference between the original ipad and the ipad 2 in the beta

I know Presenter begins to display after the first few slides download. Is this not the case with Storyline?

Sounds great. Is there any special settings on iPad ? Thanks.

Is that the published filesize?
And is the course vieweable to us? Can we see it?
Ha, ha. You are welcome to try. Please keep the content confidential. demo.interactm.com/interact/wcei/
It works great on the PC, BTW
About 115MB total of all files.

I'm seeing a ton of MP3 files downloading at the beginning but no audio is playing. Also, quite a few 404 errors.
