Weird "Box" boundary around shadows...

Hi, so this just recently started happening and I was wondering if anyone has a fix-- I added a shadow with a larger "blur" radius to a couple clickable images in one of my courses as a hover state-- this was working fine, until today when I published-- and now in Chrome there is a strange box/square boundary around the shadow. It definitely does not look good, and wasn't there before... it doesn't appear within Storyline, only when published. Any ideas what's going on? Please see attached pics to see how it looks in SL and then in Chrome.

Hi there, Lea!
Thank you for providing those helpful clues. This is an open bug in Storyline 360 where:
We'll keep you updated on any changes!
Hi,
I encountered the same problem. Is this something that will be fixed in the near future? I cannot control with browsers our learners will use so the workaround is not really a workaround, haha.
Thanks!
Hi Felicia!
Yes, it is an issue our team is currently looking into. I'll report back when we have an estimated timeline to announce.
I have the same issue in Google Chrome: Version 87.0.4280.88 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit), Microsoft Edge: Version 87.0.664.57 (Offizielles Build) (64-Bit)
In IE11 it works.
Greetings, Heinrich!
I appreciate the screenshot. That matches a related issue where:
The glow effect does not render correctly in Chrome 87 and Edge 87.
We've got this one on our radar, too, and will notify you of any updates! Thanks for bearing with us.
This also happening in Edge. The only browser I've found where the shadows are functioning properly is Firefox. Any updates on this? Thanks!
Hi Mark!
Sorry, this is affecting you as well! We are actively looking into this issue, so I'll let you know in this discussion when we release a fix!
Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Storyline 360 Update 48 is live: We fixed the issue where shadow and glow effects stopped working in Google Chrome and chromium-based Microsoft Edge.
We appreciate you taking the time to raise this!
