What does the spacebar do in Storyline?

Jul 31, 2019

Having used Adobe products half my life and despite using Storyline for close to 5 years now, I still hit CTRL + SPACE to zoom in on a slide. Only to be reminded (every $%&$% single time) that hitting space in Storyline gives me a processing icon. Often for several seconds.

Apart from being annoyed by this every single time I use Storyline, I never managed to figure out what hitting the space bar is supposed to do? What does the shortcut actually do?

Hey Niels - the spacebar will play/pause the timeline which enables you to preview your slide. There's a slight lag before the timeline plays.

To zoom in and out, use: Ctrl+Mouse Wheel.
