Hi Heather,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you're experiencing. That doesn't look right! Are there any states on these textboxes or any text box formatting changed from the default?

Our team would be happy to look at your file and spot the cause of irregular formatting when you preview the course! Feel free to share it using the link below.

Hey, Ren! I didn't get an email or anything saying you responded. That's weird.

Anywho, I actually tossed this slide because it didn't offer enough value to the course to deal with it. However, I do have an assessment question I'd like to add to the course that makes users apply the content using text entry. I'm having the same problem - I format and position the text entries how I want, but preview (and even a quick publish on Review) makes it look odd.

No, the text entry doesn't have a state on it; I can't add one anyway. I'm not sure if I'm understanding your question.

Yes, the text entry's text has been formatted to reflect how I want it to look when the user actually enters their answer.

I'll pull the slide out and attach. Thanks!

Hello, I took a quick look, from my end everything looks exactly the same and looks accurate .  I am running Win 10 with latest SL360 update.

Attached author.png is the authoring environment.  Published.png for published result.  And it may seem obvious, but sometimes folks have zoom not at 100% when authoring, so what you see is not what you get when published, so remember to check at 100% when authoring. (see zoom.png).

Good luck.

Jeff,

Thanks for taking a peek. That's what's driving me crazy! Everything looks accurate on my end. I too am running the latest SL360 update on Win10.

And I can't author at 100%; I can only get to 40%. Going to 100 makes everything really, really big. I don't know how to make that not happen. Working at 40% stinks. Any tips for that?

I'm interested in your published.png. So is this what you got after publishing for an LMS as SCORM? It looks fine. I just don't want to keep chugging along, hoping it'll look right in the LMS and then have it not...

Thanks again!

Sorry for the delay. Yes that is what my screen looked like after publish.

If you cannot run Storyline at 100% without everything being huge then more than likely your monitor resolution is set too low.  I am fortunate and have a 27" screen set to 2560 x 1440.  If you are able to change that on your computer, that may help.

Go to your Display settings on Win10 and play with these settings (see attached image):

1) Display resolution: I believe the most common resolution today is 1920 x 1080, however you may not have that available depending on how old your technology is.

2) Advanced scaling settings

3) Change the size of text, apps, and other items:  This setting is typically set to 100% however you can change it to adjust your screen.  NOTE:  You may have to restart your computer after changing this to see effects to take place.

Good luck.
