What to do for client without an LMS?

Mar 03, 2020

Hi folks,

Can someone tell me how to provide an interactive e-learning product to a freelance client who has no internal LMS and no desire to subscribe to an outside service LMS?

Can I publish somehow from Storyline 360 directly? Or would I have to use Rise and how would that work for them to upload/administer?

Let me know if you can.

Thanks,
Coba.

Hi, Coba. Have you had the opportunity to discuss how your client plans on distributing courses? Don’t forget, Storyline 360 gives you the ability to publish your courses to a variety of formats, including video files or a Word document, giving you the flexibility to provide your courses to your client in a format that should work outside of an LMS. You can view Storyline 360’s publishing options, along with other features, here:

Hi Coba,

You can create content in Tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise 360 and export as HTML5.

Now host your content somewhere like AWS or another platform hosting. Create a URL to the index.html file and share it to play the content. Also, you can embed it into any webpage using iframe tag.

If you want reports and a bit of management. You can try WordPress and use GrassBlade xAPI Companion plugin to upload manage and serve your quiz content.

Example Content: https://demo.nextsoftwaresolutions.com/articulate-storyline-360-content-with-xapi-tracking/

The above demo has content created using Articulate Storyline 360 and exported as with xAPI reporting setting and connect to an LRS (GrassBlade Cloud LRS).

You can check reports of your activities on the content in LRS. An LRS is a required component for any xAPI tracking environment.

This way you can serve and manage your quizzes.
