When I delete slides I dont really see a decrease in file size? Am I missing deleting assets from somewhere else?

May 31, 2016

I was working with a file that had about 7 slides, all with videos inserted into them. I needed to use that file as a starting point for other content so I went ahead and deleted 5 of the slides so that the file would just be left with the necessary building blocks of what I need to duplicate new slides but the file size doesn't seem to decrease after deleting the slides. Are the video files I added somewhere stored within the file that aren't deleted when the slide they were on is? Thanks for anyones insight here. Perhaps I am simply expecting more of a file size decrease than is reality and its that simple.

Hi Arthur,

I would agree with Matthew - or also closing down the course and reopening it will allow it to reset those elements and give you an updated file size. As long as you're still in the file, anything you deleted would still be accessible by the "undo" function until you've done the "save as" or closed and reopened.
