I have a trigger set to add 1 to my slider when a user clicks the right arrow key. However, what I would really like it to do is to continue to add +1 to my slider if they hold down the arrow key. Right now it only adds 1, so for the user to get to the end of the slider using the key, they have to repeatedly press it.
Is it at all possible to create a trigger that continues to fire if a user holds down a key? Thanks!
There isn't a way to build that trigger with Storyline's built in functionality but hopefully someone in the community can share a workaround or idea with you here.
Thanks, Ashley. I was fairly certain it wasn't built in to Storyline but was hoping maybe someone found a way around it. I tried a few things but even if you could get a trigger to continue firing (via some chain of variables) I don't think you could get it to stop because there isn't a way to trigger when a key is released, either.
I haven't seen a method (at least that I remember) but our community regularly amazes me with their creativity. Although as you mention there isn't a way to stop the trigger from executing as no way to determine the key isn't being pressed anymore.
