I have no idea what I pushed, but I can't access/edit the captions for the markers I put in place. The captions still pop up and allow me to edit them on my other slides but not on this one. The content shows up in the preview so I know they haven't disappeared! Where did they go?!

That's odd. I took a look at the file, but I'm able to select and modify the marker information in the slide.
Can you try importing the slide in the file I've attached and tell me if you're able to modify the descriptions, please?
