Where is the Closed Captions Editor in Storyline 360?
Oct 27, 2017
I have an audio file, and I want to add closed captioning in Storyline 360.
I know that I can do this in a text editor, but reading through this article (see link below), it sounds like there is editing capability within Storyline 360.
The author says to open the Closed Captions Editor:
Opening the Closed Captions Editor
Select a video or audio track in your course, go to the Options tab on the Storyline ribbon, then click either Add Captions or Edit Captions. The button will change depending on whether your media clip already has captions.
I don't see Add Captions or Edit Captions, just a plus button that lets you import a file. What am I doing wrong?

When I
1. load an audio file, and
2. click on it, I see this:
Hi Walt,
Thanks for posting the screenshot. It's good to know where to look. Now, if only I knew why I don't see what you're seeing.
I don't see the Add Captions option after inserting an .mp4 file either.

Hi Karen
have you got the latest SL360 update? or do you have your SL window not fully maximised?
Thanks Wendy. You are correct, my version was outdated. Thank you for your help :)
