I have the option to install Articulate Storyline on a Mac or a PC. I am primarly a Mac user but happy working on either, so would like to know which would run the programme better and if there are any differences in the programme when running the system on Mac compared to on PC.
I run Storyline on my iMac via Parallels. It's works well, and I haven't run into any major issues.
Downsides:
One of the downsides (at least it is for me) is that my keyboard shortcuts (Storyline keyboard shortcuts) are somewhat limited in Storyline (sure, I could probably do more here and reassign Mac stuff, but haven't done that yet).
Screen clutter. You have all your Mac stuff open and the Windows stuff, and PPT, Word, etc. Sometimes it's just a bit much.
You've got another program (Parallels) that can't potentially mess stuff up. Especially pesky is the way it likes to open files in the wrong program.
Upsides:
Nothing beats a Mac screen
You can test your published products on Mac and PC quickly
Bottom line (for me at least): I dig Mac and have had no problems with Studio or Storyline, but because I'm working with Articulate and PPT most of the day, my next laptop at least will be a Windows machine.
