Please make sure you are working locally as described here.

You can also try to import the Storyline files into a new Storyline file.

If you continue to have this issue we advise to try the steps listed here for erratic behavior.

This also keeps happening to me with SL2. I was working on the network and just switched to working locally. Seems to have fixed it...for now.
