I created several quiz slides that are set in Story View to appear after the content slides are shown (e.g., quiz should begin at slide # 1.21). When I preview the course, most of the quiz questions WRONGLY insert themselves into the flow at slide 1.4 (shown in green below), then place another two toward the end of the course flow.
Any ideas how to get the quiz slides to appear at the proper place in the flow?
Are you using a layout the contains the slide title by any chance? If so then your questions are probably set as titles and appear automatically in the menu. If what Becky suggests does not work for you then you can manually edit the menu and just delete the slides from the menu. Note that deleting the slides from the menu does not delete the slides from your presentation.
As Nancy and Becky shared, you can either reset the menu or customize it to remove the slide titles from displaying for your quiz slides. There is a tutorial here on how to update the player menu that will walk you through all the options.

Have you tried resetting the menu? You can do this by clicking the Player button (Home Group) and when the Player Properties dialog box opens
1. Select Menu (in yellow in the screen shot)
2. Click the Reset from story button (pointed out in red)
