I go to the Control Panel on my PC and set the sound levels. Then I go to Articulate Storyline and click "Record Your Screen." The sound jumps from level 10 to level 80 and I can't get it to stop resetting itself. What is going on??? How do I fix this?? I've literally been trying to record the same screen for an hour now. HELP!!
Unfortunately, this looks like an issue we've recently reported to our Quality Assurance team. It looks like setting the level to "10" and then recording in Storyline causes it to revert back to "80" again.
I'm not sure if this happens with different levels as well, and our QA team is currently testing the issue.
If you're able to provide the following information, it may help with testing this issue:
Operating system
Version of Storyline (click on Help > About Storyline)
Yes, that is exactly what's been happening to me... and it only happens when I'm in Screen Record. Recording regular audio seems unaffected. Thank you for your response.
I see that this issue is still with our QA team for review, so I'll add this thread to the existing report so that they're aware of another user who is experiencing this issue. When we have an update to share we'll post any updates here for you and Chrisanna.
This is still an issue in Storyline 2 where the mic level reverts to 80 even if you set it to something such as 10. I'll post an update to our team that you're still experiencing it so that we can provide any additional information here.
I gave it a test in Storyline 360 - and the audio recording level does reset to volume level 80 - but it actually sounds very quiet when I play it back. So it appears the behavior still exists - but that it's not actually recording the audio at the blaring level that we saw in Storyline 2.

I am also having this problem. It doesn't matter what level it is initially set to, it will just automatically reset itself to 80.

Hello,
Has there been a solution? I am running Storyline 2, 11:1609.3020.
Thank you

Thank you. It is not just me, our entire team of nine IDs has the same problem.
Does it work correctly for any Storyline 2 users?
Have you developed a work around?
Is this also an issue with 360?
Thank you

Have you looked at adjusting the volume of the video once inside Storyline using the "Video Volume" button?
