Hi guys, I am having problems getting my scenes to link to the related quiz. I have had lots of problems so started again with a fresh project and pasted in the scenes that I have completed. Some of the scenes will link the quizes but some won't. Any ideas to fix it are appreciated. Thanks Michelle
I am so sorry you are having troubles! So what I'm hearing is that the triggers you've set up with specific slides are not taking the user to the associated quiz, is that right? Is it going anywhere, or just not linking at all?
I'm sorry to hear about the odd behavior you've experienced. When you look at that specific slide 4.4, do you see any triggers on the slide itself associated with the next button? What about when you preview the entire course, where does it go to after that?
If you're still having difficulty with the project, are you able to share a copy of it here with us (the .story file) so that we can take a look at what's happening? Also what update of Storyline are you using? We're currently on update 6.
Thanks Ashley, I am using the latest version. I have only had it for a couple of weeks. See attached screenshot re linking from slide rather than scene, same deal, there is no option. Your idea above gave me an idea to open the individual slide and create a new trigger to the next scene. I did that and it worked. Still won't work from the story view but at least it works this way. Thanks

This isn't what you asked about, but I can maybe save you a headache I've suffered repeatedly: When you want to transfer slides, use the "Import" feature. Copy/paste sometimes loses information in transit.
If you must use Copy/Paste on entire slides, try to take it slow: After hitting "Copy", wait several seconds. THEN navigate to the destination and paste. It seems like Storyline (without telling you) actually takes its time gathering up all the objects and triggers on a slide when you hit Ctrl-C; if you don't give it enough time, it'll miss half the triggers and possibly some of the objects.
Greg, it is what I asked about. I copied and pasted into a new story to see if it would solve the problem I was having with linking quizes and it did not. The question is about getting the link from the quiz to a scene. Thanks to Ashely's comments, I have linked it from within the individual slide (last slide in the scene) to the next scene but I still cannot do that on the Story View, like I had previously. I am not transferring slides. Thanks Michelle
Quiz slides do not have a next button so linking is done via the correct and incorrect layers and has to be done one the slide when linking out of a scene not in story view, if you do not have feedback enabled then you need to add a trigger after the submit interaction trigger, hope this helps

Thanks Libby, it's just not linking at all. The right click is not showing the option to link to a scene.
The problem is linking the quiz to the next scene, does it do it automatically by any chance, which is why the option isn't available? Thanks Michelle
