Why won't my Storyline file mark complete?!?!?!?!

Aug 28, 2017

A co-worker created an education that if the user already knows the information, they are able to by-pass all informational slides and complete the education quickly.  If the users gets something incorrect, they must go back and complete the entire education again because they must receive a 100% on everything in order to complete the education.  It seems as though the file should work correctly when previewing in Storyline.  However, when uploaded to our LMS (Cornerstone) as a SCORM file, it will not report correctly back to the LMS and show 'complete'.  There are multiple results slides - which help direct learners to the appropriate slides based on their answers, but the 6.9 Results slide is used for the completion of the course.  Can anyone help me determine why this course will not mark complete in the LMS?   All of the settings seem to be correct and I publish using the 6.9 Results slide as the tracking option.

Hi Kati,

I uploaded it to SCORM Cloud to test it out here. This version seemed to track by completion and and success status (whether I passed or failed). Can you take a look at that one and let me know if that fits what you'd expect?

If so, I'd recommend reaching out to your LMS team and sharing the results at SCORM Cloud as an industry standard for LMS testing. You could also look at gathering the information we send to an LMS if you enable LMS debug mode.

Hey Kati! Great news :) In gathering my information to file the report, I was unable to replicate the behavior in a new file. This made me take a second look at yours and I seemed to have identified the culprit.

I moved all of your 'submit results' triggers to the top of your trigger panel - looks like you may have been jumping to new slides before this was happening.

I have attached your updated file and you can take a look at my published output here.

Hi Elizabeth!

Thanks for sharing your file and allowing me to take a look.

On first glance, it looks like you are publishing to Articulate Online and tracking via Result Slide 16.2. The details of the result slide indicate that you are only tracking Slide 16.1.

I took a look at this slide, and the selection was not marked to indicate it was 'correct', so try to adjust that and see if it's working as intended:
