Why won't this attach to my slide triggers panel?
Nov 20, 2020
Hi heroes!
I'm stuck. I have two layered slides built the same way. The slide trigger is set to hide the next button until all buttons on the main slide are in a visited state.
It is working great in the first slide. But in the second, when creating exactly the same trigger, the trigger is attaching to the object triggers rather than the slide triggers and failing to unlock the next button.
From where I'm sitting, I did these exactly the same way but the second slide is stubbornly refusing to attach to the slide and keeps defaulting to the object trigger panel. Does anyone have any input onto how to fix this on the second slide?

One is change state when timeline starts on condition the states equal visited
The other is changes state when the states are all equal to visited
They are firing off of different events.
Hi Phil,
Thanks for your response. I know they are firing off of different events but I'm having no luck replicating the triggers in Slide 1 (which are performing as I want them to) on slide 2. When I follow the same process in creating the trigger, it is attaching to the object triggers rather than the slide triggers. What am I doing wrong?
On the second slide, edit the trigger, and change the WHEN part of the trigger. If you say "when timeline starts on this slide, the trigger will be attached to the slide. If you say "When object = visited", it will be attached to the object.
Doh! That was exactly it. Thanks for the assistance. I think I need another coffee and a weekend! :D
Appreciate your help!
