I want learners to be able to open a Word file and copy text from that file to another app . When the Word file is chosen, rather than opening, I see the attached.
The PDF file opens, but the formatting is lost when text is copied, so that won't work.
And, yes, both files are in the story_content / external_files folder in the published output. What am I missing??
It looks like the Word file is set to open as a download and be saved vs. opening in a new tab/browser window. This is often controlled by the browser and not something you can set within Storyline.
I'd love to hear what other e-learning experts in the community have to share!

Me, too! This is a problem if it's browser based since that means it can vary per learner.
