Workflow for triggers when recording

Nov 13, 2019

Hi,

I'm wondering if there are any possibillity to create some kind of a workflow so that I can choose what triggers that should appear when I'm doing a recording.

For example if I record something where I click a button to play a video and then click a button to X the video. I will get a few default triggers for that, is there any way that I can choose the triggers before the recording?

I get triggers like "Show hint caption when hovering over Hotspot 1", this trigger is something that I dont want the get after a recording when I'm recording 60+ slides because I'll have to go into every single slide removing the trigger. Is there any way making this easier?

Hope my question is understandable :)

Thanks!

Hi Kevin!

I understand what you're saying. There are set triggers that correlate with each type of screen recording (try mode, view mode, and test mode). As you mentioned, there isn't a way to set default triggers to quicken the workflow. This is a feature we've continued to monitor but don't have definite plans to share. If we hear of any updates, we'll make sure to update this discussion.

Hi again,

sorry for a late reply and thanks for yours.

Ok, thats sad, feels like we're losing so much time because of these triggers that are added that we're not using (about 3 on each slide) and also that we can't pre-name them.

I assume its the same for a new Slide layer? That we can't pre-name these, that instead of "Untitled layer 1" It would say for example "Text Layer 1, Text Layer 2, Text Layer 3" etc.

Things like that would make it so much easier!

Anyway, thanks for your answer, I'll make sure to keep myself updated here if there are any changes.
