working with markers and no text ...
Jan 24, 2018
Hi all
Not sure, if I'm in the right forum. I was wondering if I have any configuration option on the markers, available in SL360.
Attached a screenshot that explains my issue. I use markers quite often and sometimes I don't want to add any text. However, if I hover over the marker, it still shows me a small but still well visible, empty textfield (red circle on my screeshot). Is it possible to turn that off? It just doesn't look fancy if this empty bubble appears when hovering over it. It even looks "not yet finished" or "something forgotten".
I have also thought about using another file - imported png or jpg - that shows the same symbol. But I really like, that the integrated markers pulsate a bit - which is an important eyecatcher for my learners - and imported graphics don't have that puls effect.
Thx in advance for your suggestions and best regards
Roland

I just found the answer. Sorry, if anyone is already trying to help me. I should have dug deeper, before posting this.

Hi Roland, happy you found what you were looking for! Did you make the Fill and Outline of the caption transparent? Or did you find another solution altogether?
Hi Alyssa. I finally discovered how to make the caption fill/outline transparent.
Thx for asking and have a nice weekend. Roland
It is probably better to just check the box for no audio and that ensures there is no animation at all
Hi Phil. That sounds interesting but I currently don't see, how I can "check for no audio. Could you give me a hint, which ribbon, button? And would that also stop the pulsation of the button?
Under Marker Tools on the right hand side below the animation option there is a checkbox for Audio only.
You can stop the pulsation on the animation above that.
You just made my day, Phil :-o! That's one click instead of two scrolls 'n selections. Since I'll have to go through about 500 of these markers, your hint will save me hours.
Thank's a bunch and have a great weekend. Roland
