Working with motion paths
Oct 20, 2014
I'm trying to create an interaction in which, by clicking a shape, a group of shapes will move off the screen and a new layer will appear. However, these two triggers seem to interfere with one another. The layertransition overwrites the motion paths. But if I get rid of the trigger to open the layer, the motion paths work fine.
In other words, by clicking on a shape, this will trigger all othershapes to moveoff the screen and thendisplay a layer pertaining to that shape.
Any suggestions?

Hm, this seems to work for me. See attached file. I use the "When animation completes" condition on the show the layer trigger.
Hi Lars!
Looks like Michael is assisting you here, but I wanted to pop in and welcome you to E-Learning Heroes!
Ah, very nice! I had a hard time viewing the attachment, but I used the condition "when animation completes" and I got the result I was looking for. This set the correct chain of events into motion. Hello, Leslie, and thank you, Michael.
For future reference, when files are shared over the forum, I see a ".story" extension on your attachment, Michael, but when I tried to open or save it on my computer, I got a zip file with all the contents of a web publish. Would I need to publish the zip file to a Web site or LMS to view what you were trying to share?
I see. I currently work at a financial services firm (pretty high security), so I'm limited to IE11. In any case, I was able to solve the problem through your description here in the forum. Thanks again!
