Working with motion paths

Oct 20, 2014

I'm trying to create an interaction in which, by clicking a shape, a group of shapes will move off the screen and a new layer will appear. However, these two triggers seem to interfere with one another. The layertransition overwrites the motion paths. But if I get rid of the trigger to open the layer, the motion paths work fine.

In other words, by clicking on a shape, this will trigger all othershapes to moveoff the screen and thendisplay a layer pertaining to that shape.

Any suggestions?

Ah, very nice! I had a hard time viewing the attachment, but I used the condition "when animation completes" and I got the result I was looking for. This set the correct chain of events into motion. Hello, Leslie, and thank you, Michael.

For future reference, when files are shared over the forum, I see a ".story" extension on your attachment, Michael, but when I tried to open or save it on my computer, I got a zip file with all the contents of a web publish. Would I need to publish the zip file to a Web site or LMS to view what you were trying to share?

Hi Lars, for some reason the forum turns SL2 project files into .zip files when you upload/download via IE11. In Google Chrome this doesn't happen. I had uploaded a SL2 .story file.
