Works in preview but not when published

Hello all. On one of my slides there are links to documents outside of storyline (PDF's). I have a picture object with a transparent shape over the top so that when they click on it it changes to a visited state (the shape is then set to 30% transparency so it looks as though that topic has been visited). When I run my project in the preview mode everything works fine (obviously the links don't open because it's in preview mode but that's fine). When I published it through the LMS format, the visited state then doesn't appear unless you click on the help button (no idea why there is no link between the two at all!)
Anyone have any idea why this is doing this?
Thank you in advance.

Hey Emma!
I'm sorry that's happening. I'd love to help here!
Can I take a look at your unpublished .story project file so I can do some testing with it? You can add it as an attachment right to a comment here like this:
Thanks for letting us know about this!

Hey Emma,
No worries- welcome back!
Thanks for sharing your file with me. I published it and uploaded to SCORM Cloud to test it in an LMS- the states appear to function as designed.
Take a look at it here and let me know if you're still seeing that issue. If so, which slide specifically are you referring to?
Keep me posted!
Great thanks so much for the help!
