I'm in the middle of moving an exam from a different LMS into storyline. How do I write a 12 question (multiple choice) story problem within a 50 question exam, so the test taker can view the problem to answer the questions.
I'm afraid I'm having a little trouble visualizing what you'd like to accomplish. Are you wanting to pull those 12 questions from a 50 question quiz or group of questions?
Can you give a little more information or share an example of what you're trying to do, please?
Hi Christine, putting in a "story problem" as part of the exam is my issue. The story is long and in depth (having to deal with a real estate transaction). I'd like to ask 12 questions specifically about the story. The questions would be multiple choice, leaving 38 additional questions for the rest of the exam.
I guess the terms that are confusing me are "story problem". What exactly do you mean by this?
It sounds like you're wanting to ask different questions through out the course, and pull those questions from a pool of questions.
What you may want to do is use question banks. If your sets of questions are going to be 12, create separate question banks for that question or draw from a single question bank that contains all 50 of the questions. You can then insert a question bank that would draw randomly (if you like) 12 questions from that bank. You could continue doing this throughout your course at different points.
Sorry for the confusion. Attached is the "story". I'd like the student to be able to read it and the answer multiple questions about it. The question bank does not have a place to put the "story". The course describes the forms and how they are used in a real estate deal. The "story" is used to test the student.

Here's the main tutorial for question banks:
Using Question Banks
That section covers a lot of features in the question bank, and you'll see a lot of sub-sections with helpful information.
If I'm still not understanding what you're trying to do, maybe you can clarify a little further, or someone else can chime in :)
Thanks again!

Could you put a button on each question to lightbox the slide with the story on?
Or could you just build the story onto the slide?
Thanks, I'll give the former a try. The later does not work well.
